A $125 deposit must be made to hold a spot for all groups.

Cancellation: If you cancel 7 days beforehand, you receive a full refund of the deposit paid. If you cancel 72 hours before, we credit that deposit towards another booking. If you cancel with less than 72 hours, you forfeit 100% of the deposit.

Please note that for insurance purposes, a waiver must be signed for each child who will be at the gym.
Adults who are not climbing need not pay anything to enter. All they need to do is fill out a waiver beforehand.

Birthday Parties FAQ

Does this party include access to Adventure Hub?

This party does not include access to Adventure Hub. Please ask mississauga@hubclimbing.com in advance if you would like an Ultimate Party that includes access.

What do I wear?

Comfortable athletic clothes, no jewelry or “hanging” accessories that can get caught on the rocks. Bring socks, as your child will be wearing rentals. We do Lysol the climbing shoes, but socks are encouraged for their comfort.

What are the ages to participate in the climbing?

The minimum age is 4 years as long as children  weigh over 35 lbs and can fit in our harness. If you are unsure, our staff will check prior to climbing.

Our recommended minimum age to boulder is 6 as some younger children may struggle to reach the climbing holds.

Other notes:

  • Climbers within a “birthday party” must be 17 and under
  • Adults climbing in birthday party must purchase entry pass and rental gear

Can I sign someone else’s waiver?

An adult participant must fill out and sign their own waiver, minor waivers must be filled out by legal parents and guardians. Guardians must show official proof of guardianship.

What type of climbing is included in my two hour birthday party?

There will be up to 60 minutes of climbing Climbers will be clipped into the auto belays. An autobelay device lowers you gently to the ground. Climbers will also have access to our Bouldering (unattached climbing on lower walls). Should you like to boulder as well please note a 15- 20 minute orientation must occur within your time slot.

Our staff will end the session by offering to belay the attendees on our roped walls, and the birthday child to be belayed on our 49ft. DRAGON CLIMB in the pit if they wish, while our friends and family cheer them on!

Do I need to be an experienced climber?

Not at all! Our experienced staff will provide orientations to the climbers and help them along the way.

How much time in advance do I need to book a birthday?

We usually require a minimum of 3 weeks notice in order to schedule the event hosts for your birthday.

What if the climber(s) would like to continue climbing after the birthday party?

If you would like to continue climbing without the party room, visit us at Front Desk and we can provide you with a daypass and rentals. You will need to directly supervise any children who are climbing (1:3 ratio).

If you wish to continue using the party room you can rent it for an additional fee of $75.00/hr. The party room is most likely to be available to rent after the day’s last birthday time slot, typically around 6.00pm. We can provide more information at markham@hubclimbing.com.

What are the time slots for weekday birthdays?

As we have certain programs throughout the weeknights, please email us (mississauga@hubclimbing.com) in order for us to provide you with availability on the birthday time slots. We recommend you reach us at least 3 weeks prior to your intended event date.

How many climbers can participant during the birthday party?

As we have certain programs throughout the weeknights, for weekday bookings we normally limit each party to 20 people. If you will have more climbers, please email us when booking your birthday party.

Birthday Parties — Inquiries
Use this Inquiry form for birthday parties with special requirements, such as more than 12 climbers or any other request for additional staff supports. We usually take about 3 days to respond to these inquiries.
If you are not sure please let us know the min and max.
Hub trained staff can supervise up to 5 children. $37.50 for 60 minutes. Subject to availability. Many parents choose to have the guests and parents supervise. Training is free.
*Effective March 19 2023, all private party rooms are on a 2nd floor and require stairs for access. If you require a ground floor party room, a non private table can be set up for you upon advance request. Please let us know in the field above if you need this access.
