Hi Parents,
My name is Cynthia, if you have not met me yet, I am the Camp and Youth Program Manager!
Our Recreational Team is a program dedicated to athletes who want to train and learn different techniques and skills to enhance their climbing ability.
Your child will learn the names of climbing techniques and climbing movements and be part of a learning environment where they can improve their climbing skills while having fun.
This team provides a foundation for children to move to our Development team. (Typically during lessons there will be brief moments where the athletes will be sitting and listening to the instruction of the coaches. Generally about 10 – 15 minutes of explanation on specific techniques.)

Our Program Manager
My name is Cynthia, I work at Hub Climbing as a Youth and Camp Program Manager for both locations (Markham and Mississauga) as well as an Assistant Facility Manager primary in Markham. My background in Early Childhood Education helps me understand how children develop and how they grow. As an Assistant Facility Manager, I assist with the day-to-day task of the facility and help families, members, guests, and the community enjoy climbing. Helping every individual find their potential is one of the best parts of being an Assistant Facility Manager.
Working at Hub as both a Youth and Camp Program Manager and Assistant Facility Manager has been an amazing journey where continue to grow and learn about everyone that walks into Hub Climbing.
Supervisor & Camp Lead
Hi, my name is Taryn, I assist the camp program in Markham. I grew up in a large blended family, which helped me make my decision to go into early childhood development. I believe with all my experience in child care that learning to climb is an essential skill that teaches them how to solve problems and builds confidence in their decision-making. Climbing also aids in children’s mental and physical development and has been shown to improve creativity, memory, and critical thinking abilities.
